Pho Saigon
About This Spot
Stepping into Pho Saigon on Maybank Highway feels like discovering a quiet corner of Vietnam nestled within Charleston’s rhythm. The space welcomes you with a calm, almost reflective mood—dim lighting and simple, thoughtful decor invite you to slow down and savor more than just a meal. There’s a gentle hush here, a pause from the bustle, where the focus turns toward the shared comfort of good food and soft conversation.
The pace moves deliberately, marked by the soft clatter of dishes and the occasional hum of a helper robot weaving through tables. Though the restaurant hums with the quiet earnestness of a place navigating its busy moments, this only adds to its sincere, homespun charm—there’s a warmth in the way the staff manages everything with care, making you feel seen even in the smallest interactions.
Here, the heart of the experience is in the bowls and plates that arrive steaming and layered with fragrant complexity. The rich, savory broths—both hearty meat lovers’ and vibrant vegetable versions—offer comfort that’s both nostalgic and new. Fresh herbs, crisp summer rolls, and delicate lettuce wraps come together in a harmony that invites sharing and discovery. It’s not just about nourishment, but about slow, mindful enjoyment of textures, flavors, and that satisfying slurp of warm pho on a cool Charleston day.
Beyond the food, there’s something quietly communal about Pho Saigon. It encourages diners to linger in the moment, whether settling in for a reflective solo meal or exchanging stories across a shared table. The occasional wait feels less like a rush and more like an invitation to settle into the rhythm of the place.
For those seeking a tucked-away spot where Asian flavors unfold gently and the atmosphere invites a reflective pause, Pho Saigon stands as a quietly confident beacon—a place where food, warmth, and the human moments in between come together without fuss or fanfare.

The food was excellent! I ordered a pho soup and 3 fried spring rolls (I ate one already before taking the pic) as an appetizer. The food came promptly and was delicious. Only one waitress it seemed and she managed to hold it down. It's pretty quiet in the restaurant, some music may have helped provide some cover while I slurped away, and the decor is nice. Would definitely eat again!

Great and delicious food. Although our food was promptly served our wait staff took very long to bring back the check after we finished. I think she was the only one on duty. She was very pleasant and attentive.

I stopped into today for the first time. I tried to go last Tuesday but found out that’s the one day they’re closed. To start I had the shrimp and lettuce wraps. These are literally exactly what they say. The peanut sauce was tasty that went with the wraps and they’re a good sharing item for two people. Then I went with the spicy beef broth bowl with pork and beef. This was filling and full of flavor. There was only one guy out front eating his lunch and waiting tables so it wasn’t very busy and the food came out really fast. I’ll be back.

The pho was pretty good. The Vietnamese pancake we had was really good! The host was extremely warm and inviting, but you could tell the restaurant was very short staffed, we had a bit of a longer waiting time for our meal. The atmosphere was dim and relaxing. There’s also a cute robot that helps deliver your meals. I think this restaurant has great 5 star potential with a little more help.

I loved Pho Saigon! The treatment was amazing. Our server was kind and welcoming. The food is a little pricey, but that's Charleston for you! The Vegetable Pho was amazing. The broth was so delicious, and I can't say the same thing about every other broth. They're not the same. I also like it when the broth is nice and hot as I expect, and this was. Their summer rolls were nice and and very delicious. I usually don't like the peanut butter sauces in most places, but this one looked so edible that I actually had it. It had chunks of peanuts on top. I usually tend to have the summer rolls with hot oil and soy sauce. I added some of their peanut sauce here. Their summer rolls were made fresh and didn't have any hard pieces like other places. They also have a cute robot that brings the food to our table. This was the most amazing entertainment for me. It was too cute to see it find it's way around to our table and others to deliver food and back to the kitchen. Please see my videos. The location is very clean and tidy. I will definitely be returning.
